Derrick Johnson

Derrick Johnson is one of the Florida Keys most trusted real estate agents and community leaders. A member of the Coco Plum Real Estate Luxury and Residential Real Estate team since 2013, Derrick works with individuals, investors, and developers interested in the Florida Keys; with a particular focus on the Marathon, Key Colony Beach, and Big Pine Key neighborhoods.

Derrick is an experienced businessman in the Florida Keys and Dubai, UAE. He moved to the Keys after serving abroad in the U.S. Navy. He brings his 22 years of experience and 12+ years of Hotel & Property Management knowledge to his customers.

Derrick is deeply connected to the Marathon community. He won the 2017 Humanitarian of the Year award for his efforts to help the community in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. He has served as a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys, a past officer of the Marathon & Lower Keys Association of Realtor's Board of Directors, the American Legion Post 154, and also a member of the Middle Keys Community Land Trust. He is an appointed member of the City of Marathon’s Affordable Housing Task Force. Derrick is also a licensed International real estate consultant in the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

When he isn’t working, Derrick enjoys cooking and traveling the world, he has been to 23 countries on 5 continents.
